I’m writing this letter to share some exciting news! My husband, Marc, and I are expecting our first child in August. We’re having a little girl and are thrilled and excited about her impending arrival! I know that I’ve seen some of you in the office in the past few months—I’m getting bigger every day! My hope is to stay in the office treating patients for as long as possible until I go on my maternity leave, and if all goes well, I will be working until the end of July.
It’s important to me that I provide continuous care for my patients. During the month of August and most of September, I will have an associate dentist working in the office performing general dental care, as well as routine examinations and emergencies. Dr. Elizabeth Johnson will be covering my practice while I am on leave and I am confident she will do a wonderful job. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of California, San Francisco and has a dual degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). She owned a dental practice in the San Jose area for many years and has been working in the Sacramento area for the past ten years.
After my maternity leave, I plan to be in the office working almost the same schedule as I did before. As many of you know, I see patients 3 to 4 days per week. This will continue once I return to work in mid to late September.
My staff and I strive to provide the best possible dental care for you and your family in a comfortable environment. I have no doubt that Dr. Johnson will continue this care while I am on my leave, and I hope that you will trust her to provide care for you as much as I do.
As always, thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives as your dentist, and I am excited to share this next phase of my life with all of you! Your referrals of friends and family are always appreciated as we treat our patients like members of our extended family.
