Autumn is Here
Hello Patient’s and Friends,
Hooray for October and cooler weather as we head towards the holiday season and the end of 2023. As you know, there have been many changes at the office over the past few months, and I appreciate your patience and support as we navigate all the new things! I have really enjoyed meeting many of you that have been under the care of Dr. Hanschu for so many years. And, I hope that my patients have enjoyed meeting Dr. Hanschu in the two days a week she is working in the office. It has been a great convenience for us to meld our patient pools and share in the care and treatment of all of you.
Our Hygiene department has seen some changes in these past few months as well. Sydney, who was on maternity leave, has chosen to stay home full time with her son, so she will no longer be available for appointments. Also, Carol had some changes in her personal life so she will not have a regular schedule in our office. Fortunately, I’ve hired a wonderful new hygienist, Jenna, who will be seeing patients three days per week. Jenna has many years of experience as a hygienist and we are all thrilled to have her. She joins Joyce, Michelle and Stephanie as a part of our regular crew. We’ve also been lucky enough to have Inessa working part-time for us, but she will be going on another maternity leave in mid-December. Hopefully we’ll get her back in the future!
You will continue to see Jennifer, Tina and Trina in the front office when you come in for appointments. Jackie, Christina and Rachelle are our fantastic assisting team and they are joined by Jessica, our Hygiene Assistant. Christina has just received her Expanded Function license after completing an 18-month program, so she will be able to assist both Dr. Hanschu and myself to a greater extent with routine procedures.
We are working hard to keep all of our patients on schedule for their cleanings, but it has been challenging with staff changes over the past summer. I sincerely apologize if we have had to reschedule or cancel one of your appointments, and I appreciate your patience with us! Please help us out by keeping your appointments when at all possible, alerting us ahead of time when you’re unable to make your appointments and being flexible about the Hygienist you see. That will really help our staff keep all of our patients as healthy as possible.
Believe it or not, we are in the home stretch of 2023 and I want to remind you to make the most of your Dental Insurance benefits before they expire. Most plans reset in the new year and if you don’t utilize your benefit dollars before December 31st they will disappear. If you have outstanding dental work that needs to be completed, or if you haven’t made it in for your regular cleaning and exam, please call the office and speak to Jennifer, Tina or Trina to schedule. Our schedule does get busy towards the end of the year so it’s best to plan ahead.
As always, thank you for trusting my staff and I with your dental care
needs. The best part of my job is seeing and connecting with you and your families on a regular basis. I wish you a Happy Fall and wonderful holiday season!
Best Wishes,
Stefanie Shore, DDS
