Happy Spring!
Dear Patients and Friends,
Happy spring! With warmer days and later sunsets, it feels like summer is right around the corner! I wanted to share a few updates with you from our office.
Firstly, I want to share that although the California State mask mandate has been lifted in most indoor spaces, Healthcare facilities are still subject to masking per the California Department of Public Health and OSHA. I realize that we are all tired of wearing masks, but our office still requires masking in all areas of the office except when you are in your individual operatory receiving treatment. If you forget to wear on into your appointment, we always have a box of surgical masks ready to go! Thank you for your patience and understanding. It is unclear at this time if the Healthcare mask mandate will be lifted or changed in the near future.
Secondly, we have had some changes in our Hygiene staff. Inessa, who has been with us for the past year, is leaving on an extended maternity leave. She doesn’t have a return date for our office but we do hope to see her periodically, filling in for other Hygienists who are ill or on vacation. We wish her family lots of luck and joy with their new addition! We have two new Hygienists that have joined our staff in the past few months. Stephanie has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for many years and is a fantastic addition to our team. She is passionate about patient education and has lots of experience treating all types of patients. Sydney is our newest Hygienist and is a recent graduate of Hygiene school. She was a Dental Assistant for many years and loved the dental field so much that she went back to school to get her Hygiene degree! She is a lovely and sweet presence in the office and we know you will love her gentle touch. Stephanie and Sydney join our long-time crew of Joyce, Carol and Katie in providing excellent cleanings and hygiene care to our patients.
Lastly, we have a new face in our Front Office. Trina has been working as our Scheduling Coordinator since last December. Many of you have already spoken to her on the phone to schedule your appointments! Trina has worked in Dental offices for over 10 years, starting as a Dental Assistant and then moving into Front office positions. She has been a great support to Jennifer in the administrative work of the office.
I want to thank you for all of your patience and support over the past two years. It hasn’t been easy running a Dental office in the midst of a Global pandemic, but we’ve made it work and have “rolled with the punches.” The constant changes in staffing have made it hard for everyone— patients and staff alike, but we’re confident you will love our newest additions.
All the best to you and your families,
Stefanie Shore, DDS
