An Exiting Addition to the Practice – Dr. Annie Gunter
Dear Patients,
It’s already been two months since my daughter, Lily, arrived on August 16th! I’ve been back in the office for about 2 weeks and am happy to be back at work. I’d like to thank all of you for your support during my maternity leave, and for all of your well wishes during this special period of my life.
In order for me to spend more time with my daughter, I’ve decided to work two days less per month, taking off every other Tuesday. However, I do not want to leave all of you without a dentist to see for routine dental care on those days, so I have decided to bring another dentist on board to help. Starting in the beginning of November, Dr. Annie Gunter will be here in my place on those alternating Tuesdays. Dr. Gunter graduated from Loyola University of Chicago Dental School in 1991 and lives in Gold River. She has been practicing dentistry part time while raising 3 children who are now young adults. Dr. Gunter enjoys playing tennis and doing all kinds of outdoor activities. I’m very excited to have Dr. Gunter working in the office, and I know you will find her as kind and as caring as I do.
It’s hard to believe that 2012 is winding to a close. As we approach the busy holiday season, I‘d like to remind those of you with dental insurance benefits to take advantage of your coverage and complete any outstanding treatment. If you have dental benefits still available to you in this calendar year that go unused they will be lost forever. Or, if you have funds in a flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA), now is the time to schedule treatment to apply the out of pocket expenses to this year’s tax deductions. Please remember that in most cases you must schedule and complete your treatment before the end of the year, so it is important to act soon.
Remember, unattended or undetected dental problems do not get better and will almost surely require more extensive and costly treatment in the future. Even if you do not have dental insurance, having regular exams helps us achieve our goal of assisting you in attaining and maintaining the best dental health possible. If you are unsure if you have any outstanding treatment, or if you would like to schedule an appointment, please call Jennifer at 916-966-4341. She is also excellent at responding to emails: jp.shoredds@gmail.com
This has been quite a year for me both personally and professionally. I truly love being your dentist and I thank you all for allowing me into your lives to care for you and your families.
Best Regards,
Stefanie Shore, DDS
